Biography
Trần Đăng Khoa is currently receiving research training at the Social Life Research Institute. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM), he is pursuing a path in independent social research and urban documentary filmmaking.
His current research focuses on how marginalized groups interpret their livelihoods within the megacity of Ho Chi Minh City. His broader concern is how diverse urban groups negotiate a sense of belonging and contribute to the planning process.
In this project, he serve as a Research Assistant, conducting survey data collection and in-depth interviews with patients with advanced HIV disease (AHD) coinfected with Talaromyces marneffei bloodstream infection at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, Nhan Ai Hospital, and Tien Giang General Hospital.”
