Trần Kim Anh, MD, Specialist Level II

Dr Trần Kim Anh is the principal investigator of the study “Evaluating the clinical applicability of the Mp1p-D4 rapid test for the diagnosis and screening of Talaromyces marneffei infection” at Nhân Ái Hospital. He is Director of Nhân Ái Hospital and has more than 20 years of experience in the clinical management of patients with HIV/AIDS, psychiatric illness, and tuberculosis, including drug-resistant tuberculosis. He received his medical degree from Hue University of Medicine and completed Level I and Level II specialist training in tuberculosis and lung diseases at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City.

His research focuses on HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections, particularly tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis. He has also taken part in studies on dental and maxillofacial interventions in patients with HIV, on treatment efficacy (ARV therapy, hepatitis C), and on sepsis.

In 2017 he was awarded the honorific title of “Meritorious Doctor” (Thầy thuốc Ưu tú) by the President of Vietnam.
