Biography
Since 2016, Đặng Hoàng Khanh has worked with Dr Thùy Lê, beginning as a master’s student. His master’s thesis focused on the development of a real-time PCR assay targeting the 5.8S rDNA gene for the diagnosis of talaromycosis.
After obtaining his MSc in Genetics from the University of Science in 2018, he officially joined Dr Thùy Lê’s research group at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) as a Research Assistant. During his time at OUCRU, he contributed to several research projects focused on improving the diagnosis of talaromycosis.
Since 2025, he has continued working with Dr Thùy Lê at the TMRC. He is currently responsible for the development of molecular diagnostic assays for talaromycosis and oversees the laboratory activities for related clinical trials.
