Biography
Phan Thị Hà My got her master’s degree from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan in 2020.
Her master’s thesis focused on the stress resistance of bacteria isolated from cold-environment, however, during this journey, My gradually realized her interest in Biomedical research, especially research in infectious diseases. With that passion, My decided to come back to Vietnam and join Dr. Hoa’s research team.
She is now working as a lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology and a researcher in the Microbiology and Parasitology lab – Biomedical Research Center, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
In TMRC, she is currently in charge of developing a Real-Time PCR test that detects the prevalence of Tm infection in the patient’s blood (Aim 1 TMRC Project) and in the environment (Aim 3 TMRC Project); and also optimizing the method of isolating Tm from the environment.
