Assoc. Prof. Võ Triều Lý, MD, PhD

Associate Professor Võ Triều Lý, MD, PhD is a lead investigator for LAmB-FAST based in Ho Chi Minh City. He is Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases Ward E at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and has more than 15 years of experience in infectious diseases clinical practice, medical education, and research. He completed his medical training, Master’s degree, and PhD in Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City.

His research focuses on HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections, particularly invasive fungal diseases and talaromycosis. His work spans the development and evaluation of non-culture-based diagnostic approaches, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies, and optimization of antifungal therapy. He also conducts research on antiretroviral therapy, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, multidrug-resistant infections, and infectious disease prevention. Dr. Lý has published 63 scientific papers, including 17 in international peer-reviewed journals, and was recognized as meeting the standards for Associate Professor in Medicine by the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam in 2025.
